Southbury

Southbury is a town comprises rural country areas, suburban neighborhoods, and historic districts. It is a short distance from major business and commercial centers, and is within 80 miles of New York City and 40 miles of Hartford; the latter the capital of Connecticut. Its population was 19,904.

Southbury is the only community in the country with the name "Southbury", which is why the town seal reads a meaning of the "The One and Only."

As you pass over grounds that once was the hunting grounds of the early natives of our town, or possibly where revolutionary troops gathered in our quest for freedom, or where the blaring sound of the railroad locomotive whistle could be heard.  Southbury has a long history.
